Almost? "Perfect Music"?! Bach Elgar Mascagni Schubert Shostakovich Very Special

Almost? “Perfect Music”?!

More than a chance Danielle! You better get over here and be with us – before you head back to that great, troubled country!

Jim – my computer has managed to play a few of these shorter Bach pieces and I am SO EXCITED to have your site to access when I am feeling starved of culture in Pakistan. I really love that cello suite. Can’t wait to get back and use my big speakers!
Loved seeing you yesterday and ! emailed Tricia to see if there is any chance of catching up with you two beautiful people before we head off next week.

    Scott – Thanks mate.
    Somebody out there is listening!
Hope you stick around and listen more. I’ve been told it’s a great site. it’s been a labour of Love! Please give me any suggestions for music you’d like to hear – that may not be on the site.
    Ta.
    all the best,
    Jim

Elgars enigma variations, op. 36 Nimrod. I am in ecstacy. Every time I hear that piece my heart fills like it is about to burst yet I never knew who it was. Thankyou Jim for this site. I can now go to a place and identify all those marvellous pieces that fill my spirit.

    OK Jess – let’s have a listen to Schubert’s Symphony #8 / Second movement.
Thanks for pointing out my egregious lapse! Of course the site is a ‘work in progress’ … and getting some Schubert on here is progress!

What, no Schubert on the site?

Surely qualifying for ‘almost perfect’ music is Schubert’s Symph #8 in B minor… just two movements making an ‘almost perfect’ unfinished symphony. Though I wonder, perhaps these two stand alone for a reason – Schubert himself must have realised there was little more to say; three’s a crowd.
    The 2nd especially is beautiful!
